I am now a high risk pregnancy and must be seen and delivered delivered by a perinatologist. I passed out and fell down the stairs last night so they did an ultrasound (I am really getting sick of ultrasounds, hard to believe, I know) Apparently I have the same kind of placenta as I did with Peter (battledore or marginal placenta, but I didn't know until Peter was born) AND I have some sort of mass growing either in or under my placenta. The midwife was unsure about it. I have an ultrasound and appointment scheduled for December 19th, so I will know more then.
omg Erica, I am so glad you are okay after your fall!!! How scary. I am very sorry to hear about the high risk placenta issues. I hope you get some better news from your followup appt. Please KUP, sending T&P & hugs!....
I'm so sorry about the fall but glad you are okay. Sorry that you are also high risk now. I guess it is good that you are being monitored closely. Just try to enjoy the extra u/s and getting to see your little boy more often. I'll be thinking of you and praying that the u/s on the 19th gives you some answers and that everything with you and baby are okay.
Thank you *Kiliki* for my beautiful siggy

I'm so sorry about your fall and about the issues with your placenta. I hope that by closely monitoring you, the doctors can ease your mind and ensure that the rest of your pregnancy is healthy (and as worry free as possible).
Wow, I totally missed this. I'm sorry you are high risk now. On a good note, I LOVE my perinatologist. The rest of the doctors I don't care for, but I really like MY doctor. I hear you on the ultrasounds. I like getting them, but an hour drive each way gets really old and after awhile, they all look the same.
