Question for Mommies of Rainbow Babies 01/17

Do you let your rainbow baby sleep with a blanket yet? If yes, at what age did you start letting baby use blanket?

Jacob does not use a blanket yet. I think with Jackson he was around 2 year old when I started letting him use a blanket.

Yes she does sometimes. I think she was around 6 months when we let her... only a few times a week usually.

My girl is 6 months old and we currently use a sleep sack instead of a blanket. I don't remember when we started letting our older two use blankets. I'm guessing next winter she'll have a blanket.

All of my kids have used them since day we brought them home from the hospital. My kids had sleep sacks since they love kicking the blankets off as they get hot. Though it backfires since they usually wake up later in the night cold and cry to be tucked back in. Kate is currently sleeping with us in bed so she's using our comforter. She gets too hot with a sleep sack. In her crib during the day, she's swaddled and then covered with another blanket since it's cold in here.

I've always tried to keep Chelsea's bed free of blankets or toys, when she was younger I would always make sure she was in a sleeper-onesie or had pants/socks on. There were times she only slept in a onesie but it was September in the South and it still tends to be pretty warm down here. She's only woke up cold less then a handful of times.

Recently I've started putting like two toys in her bed with her, sometimes they get removed but I am too afraid to go to bed at night with a blanket in her bed. I always try to dress her as warmly as I dress myself.

We give Ava a crocheted blanket... We have since she was about 4 months.

She sleeps better with it but it has pretty big holes in it so I don't worry about her suffocating.

Pluss she rolls around all night like a crazy I cant contain her anyway. Haha.

Both of my girls have had blankets since day 1. Whether they were swaddled in them or not. I try the sleep sacks, but they don't seem to work well with her because she gets mad that she can't move her legs as well...she likes to sleep with her butt in the air sometimes
