Ultrasound Update (xposted in DDC)

This is just one of those "gender" places that now offers dating/early u/s's to confirm pregnancy. I have a baby

with a h/b! He/she is measuring 2 day' s behind, but this was only an abdominal u/s, so I will take measurements from next weeks u/s on Wed. I was happy to hear the h/b! No bpm, as they consider that "diagnostic", but I got to see it and HEAR it! I will post a pic a little bit!

Still spotting from the sch, a bit crampy too, but this does come with the territory. Hopefully next wed will show the progress on the sch as it was pretty small the first time they measured it.

I'm happy but very cautious. The hcg levels are very high, and from what I have researched, has a strong possibility of downs. Im ok with that given my age, this is very real possibility that I have come to terms with. Having kids in your 40's means you cannot go in blindly about these things. Its all in God's hands, only time will tell.

I hope that the Down's risk doesn't end up playing out for you, but kudos to you for being willing to accept that. Good luck!

Congrats on the heartbeat. With Jacob I had really high HCG levels and I worried about downs also but he turned out fine. Let us know after your u/s Wed how baby is doing. Glad you are doing so well. Just remember that God never gives us more than we can handle.
