Saw my cardiologist today, good news is he will let me stay on the Atenolol for the fast heart rate, right through delivery and into postpartum. He was going to try to get me to stop it about now and I told him how awful I feel if I did that. Very happy to be able to continue the medication because I really feel like I need it! I asked what risk there was to the baby to be on the med near or during delivery, and he said the risk is that baby's heart rate would be too low, but he felt the risk was very small. So I think we're ok!

Im glad that your dr. agreed and you on the med. Will they be doing extra h/b monitoring on the baby's h/b?

Yeah I'm really glad too! I was prepared to do battle but he went down easy! LOL.
Lori, they haven't so far, because it's a very small dose---half of the smallest dose size. But so far every time they've checked baby's hb it's been fine. This last time it was lower than it has been, 130's when it's been in the 150s, but I asked the doc about it and she said he was just relaxed, and that it was still in the norm range. So far so good!
