So I've been kind of upset lately with everyone posting about all the times they feel their babies kicking and moving in my DDC because I haven't really felt much and I'm further ahead then some of them. I keep worrying something is wrong with him because I'm not feeling all the activity everyone else is. So the last couple of days I have felt what feels like popping in my lower tummy to the side of the belly button maybe like 2 inches over but not too high up. Do you think that is the baby moving around? I'm just trying to make myself feel better!!! My husband says his son is like him and just lazy but it still concerns me even though the dr said everything is fine. How come I don't feel him kicking???

With your first, you'll never really know what a kick feels like until they start playing soccer with your uterus. I think I felt this baby hiccup before he or she started moving a lot- those were more apparent to me for some reason.
I'd say if your dr says things are fine, things are fine!!!

Since this is your first you shouldn't really expect to feel a lot of kicking/movement yet. Some people do, but most don't feel a whole lot yet. It'll happen soon though!

With my 1st i really didnt start to feel her move that much until about 23 weeks. There is a lot of room in there for them and my friend (who is a nurse) explained to me that they are moving alot of the time, and we just dont feel them. In a few weeks when our babies bones get harder you will really be able to feel a lot more. hope that helps

give it a few more weeks, you'll feel it and at the end it will hurt when the kick or squirm.

you still listening to the h/b? that should be reassuring at least. just hang in there.

I do still listen but have tried to make it less regular then everyday since someone scared me and said it can affect the baby's hearing. So I"ve been trying to do it like every 4 days for reassurance. I'm not sending that doppler back though thats for sure!!!

Hilary, I felt the same way when everyone in my DDC kept saying how strong there babies movements were. Mine just felt very subtle, like gas or air bubbles and mainly only at night when i was laying down. If you think you are feeling something I am sure that is him, give it a couple more weeks and there will be no denying that is him playing kickball with your organs.
