First, apt went great - baby looks good and still measuring a week ahead (16w6d vs 15w6d) but they're leaving due date as is for now. Even better, SCH looks to be resolved (hooray!!!) & and as I hoped Dr is recommending against amnio based on my Harmony results unless I really want to do one (I don't).

My next apt with this Dr will be in 6 weeks for a more in depth anatomy scan (although they went through some crazy detail in this one showing us different parts of baby's brain, kidneys, heart, etc) and - this is new for me - they also want to do a vaginal u/s to check on my cervix. I don't know if that's because of my age, because of all the bleeding (just to make sure) or if they saw something on this scan (they took images of the cervix, but didn't say anything looked off). Hopefully it's just another precaution b/c I've had so many issues.

So now the fun part, baby was being a total stinker - AGAIN, you may recall they had horrible time getting shots at the NT scan too - so when the u/s tech did it she wasn't completely sure...but when the Dr did it, he was...and we're definitely having............ANOTHER GIRL!!!

We weren't hoping for boy or girl (although Savannah is LOL) but it's a lovely surprise that Savannah will have a little sister.

Here's a couple of pics - none of them are good, baby was curled up entire time with chin tucked down & legs all the way up by face (this is really obvious in 2nd pic)

Congrats on sisters!! From what my Peri told me, it is standard now to do a cervix check at the NT scan and the 20wk scan. They are saving alot more pregnancy's this way. Even if you never had an issue with a previous pregnancy, there is no ryme or reason for incompetent cervix sometimes, so they are more cautious about this.

Lara,

I am new here and actually found just mommies by researching something going on with me and found an old post you made with similiar situation so I was apologize for posting this on this thread but I have a question about your experience and didn't know how to send a message to you or if that was even a possibility. I Have been TTC for 6+ years (seeing RE for 3 yrs but after 3 m/c found out may have clottting issues so now back to it) They have recently put me on Lovenox before we start treatments due to previous PE but a blood test for a something unrelated showed slightly elevated liver enzymes. While researching if lovenox could cause this I saw an old post of yours. I was wondering the outcome of your situation and what your doctors did for this if you don't mind sharing. Thank you. ~ Karen

Hi Karen - no worries, I think JM restricts ability to send a PM until you have a certain # of posts. I had that issue with abnormal (elevated) LFT results with my prior pregnancy (ended in a m/c) and all of the doctors involved (I had 4 LOL...my RE, my OB, my PCP (who's routine check for my annual physical actually caught it) and a specialist who was consulted to confirm whether I needed more tests) believed it was ultimately caused by the Lovenox. Because I suffered a m/c about a month or so after the abnormal results were first discovered, I came off the Lovenox suddenly - and sure enough, my LFT came back normal within about a week of being off the Lovenox.

What's interesting though, is that while I'm back on Lovenox for this pregnancy - their initial check of my LFT came back perfectly normal so apparently just because you had an issue once doesn't mean you'll necessarily continue to have an issue.

If you go out to the Lovenox website they actually list temporary, reversible liver issues as a potential side effect. Hopefully yours will resolve themselves like mine did once you come off the meds. Had my last pregnancy progressed, the specialist had planned to have my LFT tested monthly I think to ensure the damage was stabilizing and not getting worse. Perhaps your RE can do something similar for you?

I'm very sorry for your losses - do feel free to visit the TTCAL board here on JM (it's here:Trying to Conceive after Loss - JustMommies Message Boards) and the TTCMA board right below it is also really helpful as you deal with RE questions. Wishing you the best of luck - I hope the Lovenox helps you TTC and next pregnancy (((HUGS)))
