So I'd felt sporadic movements for a few weeks, but this past week I'm feeling movement regularly. Sometimes it's a little punch or kick and sometimes it's clearly a flip. But what the heck are babies doing in there? When you think about a brand new newborn, they just lay there! What's up with the party in the tummy? Does everyone's baby move this much??!!

Haha! Some babies are pretty active! I've heard it put that, babies can move pretty easily in the amniotic fluid, but after they're born and don't have the water supporting their body weight, they have to build up their muscles again before they can move so much. Plus, a newborn baby is still capable of crawling up Mama's belly to her nipple, and latching on all by itself. I'd say that's quite an accomplishment for a newborn!

My baby's a wiggler too, lol. Been wiggling since 13 weeks at least. Feeling little kicks as I'm typing this. Don't you just LOVE it??

I do love it! It's so special. Reassuring that conditions are ok "in there". I just didn't expect it to be so much. I hope he/she is resting enough

My first wasn't that active but my second was crazy active. And he was the most active in the middle of the night. I would get up to pee and never get back to sleep because he would decide to have a party in my belly.

I so miss that! I had very active babies, they always had parties while I was in meetings...I would be so distracted watching my belly or just feeling and concentrating on it
