So I had my second appt. with the perinatologist (I'm sure I'm probably spelling that wrong) this morning. We talked about the results of the CVS test, then talked about my blood sugar numbers (I have been tracking them for 2 weeks). So my morning fasting numbers are higher than they'd like (which they always have been), but my day numbers are about half and half. So he said I don't even need to do the 1 and 3 hour testing because he knows they'll come back high and prescribed me the lowest dose of glyburide to take at bedtime to help my fasting numbers. Then I'll keep tracking me and a nurse will call once a week to take my numbers and the doctor will decide if they are good or if I need to take a pill during the day as well. I've gained 2 pounds total since becoming pregnant, so not to bad at all. I had forgotten to ask him last time about being off pelvic rest from the SCH, he said the u/s from when I had my CVS test done looked good and I should be fine to resume my activities. Just if I have bleeding or spotting after sex to let him know and to go back onto pelvic rest until I see him again. Then he asked if I had any other questions or if I was ready to see the baby. I didn't know I was getting an u/s today. So I didn't have any other questions so he brought in the u/s machine and she was wiggling. She even did what looked like a little wave and then rubbed her head
Poor DH though had decided since the specialist takes longer that he'd wait in the waiting room with DD this time instead of come in (but we didn't know about the u/s). So when I told him he put out a big pout lip, and DD was sad she didn't get to see the baby either. But my anatomy scan is in a month so I told them they'd get another chance then.
So a great appointment (sorry this is so long winded), well except for the medication, but I figured I'd have GD again. At least I don't have to go for those tests.

Great news on the U/S. You are still doing well with your sugar numbers so don't lose heart. You are doing good tracking your numbers and that's half the battle. Keep doing a good job tracking and you'll be ok.

Love it that the baby was rubbing her head, aw, so cute! I would love to see that. Sorry DH and DD missed it, but hopefully they'll see the next one. Great update!
