So DS has been begging us to "Find a baby to put in mommy's tummy" for years. I don't think he every really understood the implications of his request, until now.
Last night we were snuggling on the couch and he had his hand on my tummy and he felt his baby brother kick. He. Freaked. Out.
It MOVED!!!!! It WIGGLED! EEEEWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!
I asked him if he wanted to feel it again and he said "NO! It makes me sguiggle in my tummy and I feel sick."
He also is a little upset that now he has chores. Gathering eggs from the coop, picking up toys, putting away dishes, putting away clothes, etc. When I explained that these were his responsibilities FOREVER because he has a baby brother now, he looked at my tummy, looked at me, at my tummy again and said "He's gonna live here?"
This is going to take some time to get used to, I fear.
Hilarious!! My 4 year old felt the baby move the other day and it freaked him out as well. Now though he will talk really loudly to my belly trying to wake the baby up. Kids are very funny.
I'm sure once your little guy is born your son will just adore him. I worried how Jackson would behave once Jacob was born but he has done wonderfully so hopefully your little guy will do the same thing. Although now Jackson tells me that he doesn't want another brother he just wants Jacob so I'm hoping his does ok when we bring home the new baby.
