I assume most of us have been pigging out the past few days. I'm just wondering what was your favorite food that you indulged in over the Christmas holiday?

For Moms: What seemed to be your little ones favorite Christmas food.

My mother in law makes these chicken crepes which are my favorite food ever and she made them for our Christmas Eve dinner so those were my favorite food. She even made some extra so I could take some home so I was able to eat them on Christmas and yesterday. Now they are sadly gone.

Jacob loved the pineapple casserole and the sweet potato casserole plus the rolls. Bread is always something that he is guaranteed to eat. And Jackson loved the rolls and coconut cream pie. he's my picky eater so he didn't want to try much.

At my parents house we have home made cinnamon rolls for breakfast every year and they are usually my favorite thing. . . but this year sweets are a no go right now. My MIL made an amazing spaghetti and meatball dinner and that was delicious!!!

At my SIL's house I couldn't stop eating her 7-layer dip. That's pretty much all I ate on Christmas besides some sugary stuff. Needless to say I had killer heart burn all night. Oh well, it was yummy

My grandmother makes lepkuchen, a German Christmas cookie, from an old family recipe. I absolutely love them. I ask her for a plate of them for my Christmas gift each year.

Usually around the holidays I have smoked salmon on toast with cream cheese. I didn't have any this year (didn't want to risk listeria) and really missed it.

I love anything peppermint...lol! DH's aunt makes this delicious pie, we call it Tar Heel pie, it is graham cracker crust, bananas and cream with a blueberry topping and whipped cream on top of that. That is one of my favorite things!

Reagan loves candy canes, she really enjoyed the corn too and the pumpkin pie with the huge helping of whipped cream on top.

Addy loved the turkey and green beans...and of course the cookies

Unfortunately, we are overloaded with cookies. I limit myself to one a day. One for me and two go into the bowl for the chickens. DS has been helping himself liberally all day. Even the dogs have been getting them as treats, as long as there is no chocolate in them. I'm trying desperately to get rid of them as fast as possible so that they don't linger.

My favourite is out entire Christmas meal... My father is Danish so we do a traditional Danish Christmas. We have goose and wild rice (I'm not a big rice person though) and red cabbage and peas. My ultimate favourite of that meal is the Danish potatoes. You take canned sliced potatoes and cook them in sugar and butter.

Then for dessert we have Danish rice pudding which is not at all like the American rice pudding. It is rice cooked in milk instead of water and then whipped in with sweet whipped cream and almond slivers. We play a game where we put only one whole almond in the whole batch and whoever finds the almond wins a giant Toblerone bar.

I love it!

I also love my Christmas morning casserole that I make every year. Yum!

Every year I eat too much of the turkey, mashed potatoes, and rolls. Those are by far my favorites. It just wouldn't be the same without them. I even took some home with me from my mom's house.

Um, send me some cookies. I haven't been up to baking this year, well once and they didn't turn out well for some reason.

We didn't do a big meal this year. We only celebrated with DS and his DD (and DH, DD, and myself). But normally my favorite is ham, or turkey, or cookies, or rolls, well you get the idea. I love it all.
