I got in the shower this morning and a few minutes later was in excruciating pain on my left side. Baby Boy was breech and pushing hard with his head. I started feeling dizzy and got down on all fours just in case I fainted and fell. I yelled for DH to help and he came running upstairs.

He helped me into bed so I could lay on my right side, since my left hurt so bad and I laid there in pain for an hour, panting. I finally couldn't take it anymore and called the OB. She wasn't concerned. Said the baby is probably turning, to drink alot of water, rest, monitor movement and keep an eye out for spotting.

Sure enough about an hour later, baby boy flipped down and the pain went completely away. So relieved. I was so scared for a while though. I thought we were headed for L&D today. I pulled out the doppler and checked the HB and he's still good and strong and he's still kicking away.

Whoa! I'm so sorry- what a scary thing. Sending you gentle hugs and hope that baby boy behaves better.

Glad to hear you are ok! My daughter never flipped.. although it felt like she tried a couple of times.. they always said, 'You will know it when she does!' but yeah.. she liked nuzzling my liver.. I think it may have been one reason I had to have my galbladder removed (never had any issues with it prior to pregnancy).

Marsi was always head down, but Dorian seems to like to be transverse. Today he is intent on having his head on my left sciatic nerve. It is painful. I am glad he flipped for you.

That sounds really scary, but I'm glad everything seems to be alright. Good thing you didn't fall down in the shower! That could have been really dangerous!! Here there baby boy, be sweet to mommy

Wow I would have been freaked out! I'm glad that it was just him turning, and that he finally moved for you! Must have been the longest couple of hours in your life!

Wow that's scary! I've had my LO do some stretching or something in there that's uncomfortable but she's never put me into pain like that before! I'm so, so glad your LO got back into position!

That sounds like a very rough morning, so sorry it went that way! But of course, happy to hear you are fine now.

My LO has done that to me a couple of times, but she's smaller than your LO so it is only slightly painful. Like can't walk, have to lay down, but not worrying about falling down. I'm glad he moved and you're feeling better.

Thanks ladies. I was feeling so much better after a while, and went back to my chores and taking care of chickens. I had to take a trip yesterday to visit my Aunt's grave - a long 3 hour drive each way and got home at 9 last night. I was a bit uncomfortable by the end of the trip but no more pain. Phew! Baby boy was active the whole time.

So glad that he turned and gave you some relief. I bet that scared the crap out of you but glad you are doing good and baby boy is active.
