So I have been having a ton of contractions. I've been in twice now to see my dr and have my cervix check and both times my cervix has been great and it doesn't appear that the contractions are affecting my cervix at all. I just have a darn irritable uterus. Well yesterday I had a bunch of contractions. They went on for about 2 hours. Nothing really consistent just happening every 10 to 20 minutes or so. Once I got the boys asleep and I laid down they stopped so I know they were from all the activity yesterday. I just want them to stop until it is really time. I hate to keep calling the dr and going in but I also hate to not go in and have them actually doing something. I see my dr again on Friday so I'm going to talk to him again about them. They just suck. If I was farther along they wouldn't be that big of a deal but I don't want baby coming this early.

Anybody else get them alot or get them while they were pregnant and have them not do anything but be an annoying.

I had a lot of them with Kody about the last month of pregnancy. They did nothing for me until the very end, when I was past due. Then they were slowly, slowly dilating me, to the point where I was 5cm but didn't realize I was in labor. I think it would have kept on going slow like that if my doc hadn't have broken my water and got things going.
But at the beginning, they didn't do a darn thing except be annoying.

I didn't start getting them until later in this pregnancy but I have them all-the-time now and mine haven't been doing much for my cervix. I was only 1 cm last monday. I will let you know in about an hour or so if they check me at my appointment today I imagine they will most likely take a peek.

I had them all the time with Clyde and it never did anything to my cervix. But letting your dr know is a good idea so they can keep an eye on things.

I get a few when I'm doing to much. So then I sit or lay down and drink some water. When I was stressed about the UTI and having to go to the ER I had about 3 in hour there. But I don't get them often enough to bother me much.
I hope you're able to lay down when they start coming and annoying you.

I had BH with both girls starting at around 24 weeks or so, it sucked. My doc said there isn't anything you can do except be sure to drink enough water, not overdo it, other than that, it's just your body gearing up for labor...apparently my body needed lots of extra time because I had to be induced both times With Reagan, I dilated to 1 cm at around 35 weeks and stayed that way until I was induced. With Addy, I was 2-3 cm for about 5 weeks, until I was induced.
