At 11DPO
hCG: 238
progesterone 19.9

At 18DPO
hCG: 3119
progesterone 12.6

I"m worried about the progesterone but ecstatic about the hCG. (This is over twice as high as it was with my sin at this point.) My OB is not concerned about the progesterone at all. With my son she gave me progesterone just to ease my mind. I want to try trusting my body this time but am nervous! I just ordered some natural progesterone cream that should be here Friday. I'm hoping that will give my number a bit of a boost and at least ease my mind if it does nothing else !

Your numbers look great! Some doctors are okay with a progesterone level above 10. Hooray!

That's what my OB says, and everything I've found online, except forum posts by women saying their OB likes it higher, supports that. Just still hard not to worry! The great hCG numbers help a bit to ease my mind.

your HCG is awesome!! Was your dr going to go ahead and put you on progesterone supplements if you wanted them? I don't think they would hurt and could only help. My dr is one of the ones that likes the number to be higher.

Sounds good to me Robyn, but I know how scary all this can be. If the cream will help alleviate some stress then I don't see why not.

After panicking more last night I'm feeling better about things today. I had some ladies in my son's PR tell me they had lower progesterone but their doctors weren't concerned since the hCG was rising nicely and they went on to have healthy babies so I'm just taking a deep breath and hoping all will be well. My doctor won't give me supplements without talking in person and the more reading I'm doing on medical sites says that progesterone supplements aren't shown to even help after you get your BFP so I don't know...

You can take extra B6 and B12 to help your own natural progesterone production.

The jury's out on progesterone- no one can REALLY say for sure, though my RE who is quite well-known does prescribe it. He said that sometimes the placenta doesn't develop enough to take over progesterone production by the time your corpus luteum stops, and supplements can help bridge that gap. I'm not trying to persuade you either way, but I also don't want anyone who reads this who *does* need progesterone to avoid it because of the internet. It's something that's between each person and her doctor.

I am taking 100mg balanced B and have been since April. :-(

I think I just need to stay away from forums for a bit. I've been trying to talk myself into feeling ok about this but clearly it's not working since I'm now really upset again. :-(

Robyn I'm so sorry. I know sometimes the forums scare you more than they help. Just know that we are here for you if you need us.

Hugs from me...early pregnancy is the hardest part (to me, anyway). I hope you can feel reassured using the cream, and you can always push your doc for an Rx if you feel strongly about it.

Thank you ladies. A couple of days away helped and I think I'll just continue to keep a low profile for a bit. I'm just a basket case in the first trimester. :-(

Yes, a few days ago. Last time I spent the entire loss point day in bed, this time I didn't even have a chance to think about it! Talking with my friends and DH who reminded me that my OB is a problem solver and jumps at the first sign of a problem helped too. I know if she thought for even a second there could be a problem she'd give me the supplements so trying to remember my 90% chance of everything being ok at this point and trying to not let my neuroses take over.
