I had my 32 weeks appointment this morning. My blood pressure, weight and urine were all good. Dr seemed a little bit concerned about all the contractions I've been having and the fact that our little boy is so very low. He did a fibronectin test which he said took 2 hours to get the results back so I should have that back this afternoon. he said if negative there was a 97% chance that I wouldn't go into labor in the next 2 weeks. He also told me if it was positive not to freak out because it didn't necessarily mean that I would go into labor in the next 2 weeks. He said if positive he would bring me back in next week and repeat the test and do another cervical check. He did check my cervix today and it is thankfully still closed with a little thickness left so that is a good thing. he did say if I had more than 5 contractions an hour to call him and go in.

I guess if I go into labor before 34 weeks he will take action to stop the labor but after 34 weeks they let you deliver. I'm just hoping that this little boy waits a while longer. I would really like for him to wait atleast 6 more weeks so I can make sure everything is ready for him.

I'll let you all know what the fibronectin results are as soon as I get them.

Sorry to hear about all the contractions you have been having. That has got to be nerve wracking. I hope the results from the fibronectin come back negative! It is a great sign there has been no cervical change! That's a plus! Stay put, little guy!

Stay put little guy, at least a few more weeks. Hoping the results are good. Sounds like your doctor has a good plan.

Finally got the result and the FFN came back negative so there is a 97% chance that he will wait atleast 2 more weeks. I've still been having alot of contractions and some have been a little painful. My dr seems pretty confident that baby will wait a while longer. I really want him to wait about 6 more weeks so hopefully he will.

So glad it was negative! My sister has been having contractions since 22 weeks, her cervix has shortened significantly. She will be 33 weeks this Thursday and is still suffering from lots of contractions, my point here was that they have managed to keep her baby baking for 11 more weeks, I hope they can keep yours going for 6 more

That's good news about the test being negative but I'm sorry you are still having the contractions. Hopefully it's just your body preparing for later and not sooner. When will your doc recheck you?

I've never heard of fibronectin. It sounds like a sugar substitute. I'm glad your tests came back neg, whatever they mean. Bake a little Longer little baby!
