Pregnant Ladies: have you packed your bag for the hospital yet? When did you pack it? if you haven't packed it when will you pack it?

Momma's: When did you pack your bag for the hospital? How long was it after you packed that you went into labor?

I haven't yet packed my bag for the hospital. I will probably wait until after my next appointment and see how my cervix is doing and decide then when to pack. I do have a pile of things for the baby just in case I go into labor before I do pack. I'm not that concerned with my stuff but want to make sure that I have the outfits that I want for him.

With Jackson I packed at 36 weeks because that is what all the books told me to do..lol. He was born at 39 weeks so I was packed 3 weeks before he was born.

With Jacob I went into the hospital at 33 weeks and we thought he was coming then. When the labor stopped, I went right home and went ahead and packed because everybody thought he would be coming soon. he waited until 39 weeks also.

I haven't packed my bag yet, or even thought about what to put in there. But I'm only 25 weeks, so lots of time. I'll probably wait to see if I'll need a repeat c-section or not. If so then it will be scheduled and I'll know to pack a few days before that. Otherwise if I get to go vbac I'll probably pack it at the end of March. My EDD is 4/20, but both of my other 2 were 2 weeks early so I'm expecting the same.

I don't remember when I packed with Ethan, but I'm sure it was early.
With Kody, I was pretty much all packed at 30 weeks. I was so anxious the whole pregnancy, and I didn't want to be unprepared if he was born early. Turned out he was 5 days late though, little stinker!

Well... With Ava I didn't pack at all and I regretted it! I thought I would go overdue since that's what everyone said first time moms do. Well my water broke at home at 37.6! So while I was hurrying and hopping in the shower my husband was running around trying to shove some stuff together. "Are these pajamas okay? How many diapers? I'll go put the car seat in!" Haha. It was pretty funny to see but I was contracting pretty bad so I didn't care.

I'll probably pack at 35 weeks.

I guess I'm just not a planner. For DS I was 40 wks and didn't have a thing packed. I was having contractions for 2 wks straight, had gone to L&D once with contractions 2 min appt and still hadn't packed a thing. Went in for my 40 wk appt, by myself, without anything packed, not even a car seat purchased!!! Came home 4 days later with a baby.

This time around, I'm pretty much doing the same thing. No plans. No purchases. No packing. Crazy huh?

With DD1 I was so excited I think I packed at around 30 weeks...lol! I was freaked out that I would do what my sister did and deliver so early. With DD2, I think I packed around 35-36 weeks. Both came late, I was induced, so I had extra time to keep throwing stuff into the bag

I put Marsi's car seat base in at 37 weeks. I think I was packed-ish by 37 weeks. This go around, I honestly haven't even thought of it. I have wondered which configuration I will be putting the car seats in, but that is the extent of my planning. I am only 27 weeks so I have oodles of time. I think that I will make his little bag around 37 weeks. I don't know when I will put any of my things together. Probably while I am in labor before I go to the hospital.

I'm not planning on packing until I go into labor. My midwife does not want me to go to the hospital until I'm at six CM, so I imagine I'll have loads of time at home.

I do plan on making a list of my bag and baby's bag for DH to follow, in case I can't help at all. I'm also planning on putting the car seat base in his truck a few weeks before my due date. He has to drive to the hospital and the base will be in my car generally ... But I am NOT having my giant DH drive my standard economy car in the winter while I'm in labor. Nonononono.

I haven't packed anything. I have started thinking about it, but I'm not sure when I'll end up getting around to actually packing.

I was like Cary and was packed way early... I also had a list for DH. I'm not sure what I would have packed differently had I known that we'd be at the hospital for two weeks.

Next time I'll probably do it later and pack less!
