Pregnant ladies: Have you felt any hiccups yet? If yes how often do you feel them?

Moms: Did your little ones get the hiccups when you were pregnant? How often did they get them? After they were born did they still get them alot if they got them alot in utero?

Christian seems to get the hiccups all the time. Atleast 2 or 3 times every day. Seems he always gets them when I lay down at night to go to bed and they keep me up for awhile.

Jackson never got the hiccups or if he did I didn't realize that was what they were. And I don't remember him getting them that much after he was born. Jacob on the other hand got them all the time when I was pregnant with him and after he was born he still got them alot. his dr told me there was no correlation between how much he got them while I was pregnant with him versus after he was born but I think she was wrong.

I don't see why there would be no correlation. It's the same baby, isn't it?! LOL. If they got hiccups a lot in utero, it makes sense that they would get them a lot after they were born, too.

Joy that is what I thought but when I brought it up to Jacob's pedi she kind of acted like I was nuts. And while I love her and she is a great dr. I definitely disagreed with the hiccups.

I didn't feel them more than a few times with Marsi. Dorian had them a lot earlier on, but I haven't felt hiccups in weeks. I honestly can't tell you if Marsi hiccuped when she was a baby. I don't remember it. Even now, she might get one or 2 and that is all her hiccups are and that happens just every few months.

I agree with you and Joy...it is the same baby right?

Well since my other pregnancies were sooo long ago, I honestly don't remember if they had hiccups or not (sigh). But this one seems to get them (at least I think that's what's going on when both sides of my belly spasm at once) at least every other day. Maybe just once or twice every other day. And yeah I agree, same baby so it makes sense.

My little man gets them most days at least a couple times. HE does go a few days in a row without them occasionally, but he get's them a lot.

Regan got them fairly often in utero... not a lot after she was born, though for a while she'd get them every time she laughed!

Toren would get them all the time in utero. Just like Christian, Toren would get them 2-3 times a day and they would last at least 15 mins. He gets hiccups a lot now too. When we do tummy time he almost always gets the hiccups. Occasionally when I'm burping him too.

DS would get them constantly and they lasted for hours. He never got them very often once he was born.

Baby boy never got them until recently. He's only had them twice. I don't know what stimulates them, so I don't know if there is a correlation.
