Today we took DS out to Babies R Us and let him pick out clothes for his little brother. He was so excited. I had a tough time with it, but DS was SO happy picking stuff out, I couldn't help but smile.

Then we decided to get the car seat and stroller. I was sweating by the time we got out of there, but we did it. Of course, being the cheapie that I am, I had a 15% off coupon, plus we traded in DS's old beat up stroller for 25% more AND we took out a Babies r us card for another 10% so we got the car seat and stroller for $180 off! That made me feel a heck of a lot better about spending the money.

How are you girls doing with buying things?

I am so glad that you were able to do that. And, what an awesome deal!!! That is my type of shopping!

As for me, I don't have a hard time shopping for him now. In my experience, when I get this far along, I get my baby. I even bought an 18 month outfit for him today.

Good job, Leia! You also are a very frugal shopper---what a great deal!

So glad you made it through, and I know DS was so happy. We're actually getting so much hand-me-downs we haven't bought much yet except decoration type stuff for the room (like the paint, carpet, and crown molding).

Sounds like a great trip! I know it was not easy, but it sounds like a wonderful experience for your DS and all of you together as a family

I have purchased nothing. Trying to get more motivated.

Oh wow! Awesome savings!

We have only bought a changing table and I ordered this cute little owl stuffed animal that hooks onto baby's pacifier. That's it! We already have baby furniture from my daughter, however, I'd like to get one of those glider chairs.

I'm planning on buying something small like an outfit or other item Friday evening after my ultrasound, something gender specific since we will hopefully be finding out what we are having

That's an awesome deal. Good going! I'm so glad you got that out of the way and it sounds to me like it didn't go too bad at all. Maybe all you needed was an ice-breaker and now you wont feel so stressed next shopping trip.

Awesome deal! Yay! I'm glad it ended up being a good experience. I do have some things from Cade's pregnancy but won't buy anything else until after 24 weeks. Probably won't buy too much stuff until much later though.
