so I am 11 Weeks 1 day and I just went to the bathroom and I am spotting. It wasnt a ton but it was pink to almost red and now I am just such a mess. I am crying in my cubicle at work. I know that some spotting can be normal in the first trimester I really do but I cant help but really freak out.

I called the doc and I am waiting for the on call nurse to call me back. Should I be going to the ER? I just dont know what to do and I dont want to over react. . .

Don't go to the ER as of yet. Get the call back from your doctor. I had this happen and it was an SCH resolving itself. I know that it is scary.

Hugs. Spotting is so scary in pregnancy, and at the same time pretty common. I hope your doctor has called back. If not I'd call the nurse hotline or L&D to see what they recommend you do.

((Hugs)) Elle.

Keep us posted. I wouldn't say the ER is a bad idea, given your history.

I'll be looking for your update! Thinking of you and praying for you.

Are you still spotting? What did the Dr. say?

I spotted all the way up to 18 weeks! It would happen a 2 - 3 times a week! It would be anywhere from dark brown, light brown, pink, red, bright pink! I know how stressful it can be especially after loss!

I hope everything is ok, come give us an update!

Thanks so much ladies your words helped me a lot last night. I tried to post from my phone but I see now it didnt go through. Sorry to leave you ladies hanging.

The nurse called back and told me to keep my feet up and drink plenty of fluids. She said not to go to the ER and to call back if the bleeding picked up. The bleeding actually stopped all together and I havent had anymore. Someone from my doctors office is supposed to call me as soon as they open this morning (in the next 10 minutes) so they can discuss the issue with me and see what my doctor wants to do.

I would be so lost with out you ladies!!!

They just called back and put me on partial bed rest. They dont want me to come in because they are worried an U/S will cause more spotting She said I can if I am in full blown panic mode but otherwise they want me off my feet for the next 24 hours. So hopefully there will be no more spotting. 8 more days until my next U/S. . .

Hugs! It is so scary when you bleed, I bled heavily for weeks in my first trimester with no explanation. Will they not try an external u/s? If you feel like you need peace of mind, I would call them back. Otherwise, I hope the next week flies by!

Hugs!!

I'm glad that the spotting stopped and I hope it doesn't come start again. Hopefully you can get some rest and the time will pass quickly until your next appointment.

So sorry you had the spotting and I'm happy to know that it stopped! I've had spotting a couple times this pregnancy. Staying down as much as possible is the best thing to do when you see it. I definitely know how scary it is though! Hopefully it stays away so you won't have to worry! (((HUGS)))

I'm sorry you have this worry hanging over you.
I wonder too why they wouldn't just do an abdominal ultrasound? Seems like you're far enough along that you wouldn't need a transvaginal one.
Hugs!!
