I am getting soooo tired of nasty foods like french fries, unhealthy foods in general but it's sooooo hard to eat healthy when everything healthy makes me gassy and bloated! If I eat a salad I get gas, if I eat veggies I get gas and this is NOT good when I have to sit within a foot of someone everyday while training! lol

I've gained 20lbs so far and thats as of last week. (I'm 21 weeks today) I get tired of sandwiches, like PB&J, chicken salad, chicken wraps etc. I just cannot think of anything healthy to eat that doesn't make me gassy! I hate eating when I'm pregnant, I mean I love it but at the same time I hate it!

Ok i'm done whining.

It's hard for me to eat healthy too... I have had a sweet tooth since Toren was born and I indulge in the cravings often
But yea, I'm no help.

It is getting hard for me to eat period. My body doesn't send me the hunger signals anymore. Happened with Marsi too. Yesterday I had barely anything. I try to keep healthy snacks around. Mostly cut up vegetables and things like that.

Once I knew I was trouble with this I started mixing my salads with regular food. It was too late for me, but its good to start no matter how far along you are. Examples:

Pizza topped with broccoli and spinach
Macaroni and cheese topped with brussel sprouts
Tacos with lettuce and chick peas
chicken wraps with spinach
Etc
Now I keep a bag of spinach in the fridge (fresh raw) and chick peas, onions and tomatoes all the time and add them to almost everything - salads, pasta, tacos, chicken, etc. I don't cook the spinach btw.
Stock up on raw veggies like carrots and celery and just chop up a few and throw them on top if whatever you are eating, just keep them raw.

I'm terrible at this too! I'm more likely to eat too many sweets than anything else. I've been terrible lately too.

Glad I'm not the only one, I just feel like crap after I eat lately because it's all bad. When I say I feel like crap I mean I LITERALLY feel like crap, not like I feel guilty (well that too) but I just feel gross and BLAH!

Thanks lelila I'll try that. Going to the store tomorrow, I love fruit so I'm going to stock up on it even though it doesn't fill me up. At least it'll be SOMETHING healthy that I'm puting in my body. (I do make a smoothie each morning with milk, yogurt and fruit in it so that does make me feel a bit better I guess).

I'm a horrible eater while pregnant. I just have to go with what sounds like it won't make me gag. Sometimes it's good for me, most of the time it's not.
I lose my appetite easily too. I've gained nothing this pregnancy, and my dr isn't too thrilled with that, but I do what I can as far as eating. Whether it's salad or cinnebon. And yes, those happen on the same day sometimes lol

I had terrible gas all the time when I was pregnant. What about Beano or something like digestive enzymes?

Hopefully the gassy part will pass soon. I have no choice but to eat healthier, because I really have to watch where I get my carbs (GD). So most of my carbs come from veggies or whole grain crackers/pasta/toast. And even then I have to limit them.

I found that increasing protein in my diet helped me feel full and not eat too much bad stuff. I mixed nuts and dried fruit in a Baggie and kept that on me all the time. I also are a lot of yougerts, cheese, eggs, and apples/oranges.
