So ladies, even though I'm not sure how much I'll be around this week I wanted to see what's going on with everyone.
Lots here - today though hopefully just staying home. Monday I have another NST appointment (which I've told my 'sister' that could mean going to L&D afterwords so be prepared). Tuesday is DD's class day and our monthly visit with our EP to turn in schoolwork and for DD to take her test (they alternate one month checking math, one month checking reading, one month checking language arts). Wednesday is due to be our busiest day - I have my high risk doctor in the morning, girl scouts in the afternoon, and PTA that evening. Sadly it's also DH's day off so being away for girls scouts and PTA would be sad so I may just cancel one of them, or if I have to go to L&D again DH will go fill in for me at girl scouts. Thursday is NST again, and the day my brother is being buried. I think my older brother, my 'mom' and 'sister are planning on going to be there. I may reschedule my NST so I can be there also since they are scheduled only an hour apart. Friday is just bowling league for DD, so if mom and sister don't want to go watch we may skip this week. Then Saturday is the memorial. And somewhere in there we need to get pictures together for the memorial and do a few other things to get ready for it also. Right now my 'sister and mom' plan on leaving after the memorial, but I think they'll play it by ear and could leave the next morning.
I hope everything goes smoothly. I'll be thinking about you and saying a prayer. Update us if you have free time and are feeling up to it.
I never have much going on. I'm not complaining, I enjoy my quiet life. This week is the usual cleaning, groceries (as much as I can get while Toren is happy). Then I need to pick up a few more things so I can start Toren's baby book. I want to start working on that soon but I'm still trying to envision how I want it to look... I'm not super creative or crafty. Friday is the baby shower. That about sums it up.
Thanks. Well we did end up going up to Oceanside today to have lunch with my brother. I figured it was about the only 'sightseeing' my company might get while here (my sister wants to take her mom to Coronado also to take the ferry out, but I don't know if the mom will want to go). But it's only about an hour, and the weather couldn't have been better (80 at the beach). I'm sure you'll come up with some great ideas for his book. I hope you have a great baby shower.
I have another jam packed week. Monday I am going to Costco to pick up my freezer meals grocery list, then I go to physio. Tuesday, I have a spa day that I'm pretty pumped about! DH gave it to me for an anniversary gift. Wednesday I was to cook the freezer meals and go to my bible study at night. Thursday I see my midwife and Friday I do more cooking.Saturday DH and I have a wedding to go to. I'm not terribly excited to go to a wedding at 38 weeks pregnant but it is DH's first cousin. I'm sorry you're still having such a time. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers this week. ((Hugs))
Therese I hope this next week goes ok for you and your family. I'm so sorry about your brother. you and your family are in my prayers.Hopefully your NST goes great tomorrow and no L & D.I have Christian's one month check up on thursday which I can't believe. Other than that not much else. I am trying to work a little bit. Since I work for myself it's hard to take alot of time off so I am working about 3 hours each day. Jacob's got a birthday coming up at the end of April so I am going to go ahead and try to order his invitations and start planning it. Seems I run out of time so quickly so I want to make sure that I get everything I need early.
This week should be pretty low-key, thankfully. On Tuesday I have an appt with my new OB (don't remember if I posted this saga but my regular OB- whom I've had for 10 years and love- was "downsized" because she's paid the most and been in the office the longest.) The rest of the week is typical work meetings and such, but nothing overwhelming. I've been really tired and feeling kind of down lately. I think the last month is catching up to me. Between my mom's surgery, losing my OB who has supported me through 3 losses, super busy at work, finding out my beloved 15 year old cat is in stage 3 early kidney failure, and feeling a lot of pressure to get baby stuff done (nursery, daycare, pediatricians, etc). DH is willing to help- but I have to tell him what to do and "manage" it all, which just feels like more work. I haven't been seeing my therapist- I think I'm going to call for a check-in.
I am so sorry that you are having such a rough go right now. And again, so very sorry for your loss. Nothing huge going on here. We had DD1s party this past weekend, so last week was the hectic week This week, today, she is sick out of the blue, so I am working from home. no plans for the rest of the week, sometime this weekend, we are going to have a birthday dinner for FIL. I also need to figure out what to get DH for his birthday - he is no help, he keeps joking that he wants a new laptop, not in the budget right now, so he won't be getting that. Oh yeah, DD1 has her 5 year well check and I need to get the info to the school board, along with her birth cert that i forgot to take during kindergarten registration. That's all for me.
