Monday I started getting a sore throat and lots of sneezing. Yesterday, runny nose and cough, last night - not only did the hourly trip to the bathroom keep me up but my throat and nose and cough woke me up even more!

Not sure if it's my sinuses or if I have a cold. I want to say cold becuase my daughter had it end of last week, same symptoms but I guess we could both have sinus or allergy issues.

What do you all take for coughing, sore throat and runny nose? I really miss my nyquil!!!!

I never took anything. I just toughed it out. You might check with your dr and see what is safe to take. So sorry that your sick. We've had illness going on in our family. My little Jacob had a fever of 103.0 yesterday. he seems a little bit better today. Hope you feel better soon.

i normally don't take anything either but i'm still training at work and between being sick and no sleep this week I can't even concentrate here and with someone sitting at my desk with me, coughing, and blowing my nose isn't very fun! LOL

oh that just plain sucks. There are some things you can take. This is on my OB's website:

Guaifenesin, an expectorant (Hytuss, Mucinex, Naldecon Senior EX, Robitussin)Dextromethorphan, a cough suppressant (Benylin Adult, Robitussin Maximum Strength Cough, Scot-Tussin DM, Vicks 44 Cough Relief)Guaifenesin plus dextromethorphan (Benylin Expectorant, Robitussin DM, Vicks 44E)Cough dropsVicks VapoRub

Not safe to take:Cold remedies that contain alcoholThe decongestants pseudoephedrine and phenylephrine, which can affect blood flow to the placenta.

Hope you feel better!

Ugh, so sorry. I had a bad cold last month. I think I took Tylenol a few times, along with using a neti pot. I would have taken Mucinex if I had more coughing- mine was mostly nasal/head stuff.
