Just wondering if anyone has purchased one of these or something similar? If so, do you like it/recommend it?

I've read mixed reviews, some say they aren't safe etc. We had to push blankets down in the sides of the car seat when my daughter was a baby, we even put some around her head because even with the head support we had with her it didn't hold her up properly. I think all "stuffing" we used with her was much more unsafe than this! This looks wonderful to me.

I have the chicco keyfit 30 and it came with an infant insert that work great for us. If your car seat has an infant insert I wouldn't think you would need something like that.

I'll have to look up the inserts, my car seat didn't come with an insert. Well, wait a minute if by insert you mean the little head support thingy? I do have one, not sure if it came with the car seat or if we bought it separately but my daughter still wasn't well supported by it.... I'm going to look up the inserts to double check though!

Courtney this is what I'm talking about. Our car seat came with this and it worked fine for us.

oh that's nice! Mine definately didn't come with one of those! I'm going to call my manufacturer and find out if maybe they make something like that now I can buy specifically for the car seat we have. Thanks!

We have the Graco Snug Ride 35http://www.gracobaby.com/products/pages/snugride-click-connect-35-lx-rittenhouse.aspx

It has an insert built in and you can't fit anything else in it once you stuff the kid in.

Just as an FYI, they do not recommend using an insert that isn't made for the specific car seat or by the manufacturer. That said, we just used blankets if needed because ours didn't come with one either.
