So we took my mom her boyfriend and my brother out for mothers day today, since she works tomorrow. Well, we told her about baby this morning and she was so happy! It went great
Gast forward to now, my idiot brother POSTS ON FACEBOOK that he's going to be an uncle. We haven't even told the in laws yet... that's tomorrow. I coukd not believe his stupidity. Whether we said not to share or not, that's not his news to put out there! Let me just say, when I came home and told DH we didn't exactly say the nicest things.
Please don't think I'm over reacting. But after 2 losses, and my aunt with a history of losses that he knows about, he should be smart enough to figure out you don't share that sh*# without asking first!
OMG I don't even know what to do with him right now. Mind you, he is a 26 year old adult... supposedly
That's not right!!! Or FAIR!! That's totally stealing your spotlight and robbing you of your special moment, announcing your news to everyone individually, at your own pace. I think this ettiquite is pretty well known, am I wrong? Doesn't everyone know not to announce things like babies, engagements, parties, ect for other people? I mean come on!! It's not their news to share!!
Ugh, I'm so sorry that happened. Hopefully the inlaws didn't see it? Is that a possibility?
Jackie haven't you heard men tend to think with a different 'brain'? Just think about how excited he must have been to go post it so quickly. I agree though it'd be nice if he had thought first though.
This should be common sense, but since it isn't, I make sure to tell those that I do tell that it is a secret. You just never know. I am glad that he was excited and that he listened and took it down. SHEESH!
