Moms: did you get a play pen for your little one? did you use it?
Pregnant Ladies: Have you purchases a play pen for your baby?
I got a play pen when I was pregnant with Jackson and of course we thought we needed the most expensive one. I never used it with Jackson or with Jacob. I tried to use it with Christian but Jackson and Jacob thought it would be fun to push it all over the house and ram it into the walls, plus they were throwing toys in it for Christian to play with...lol. so I don't think I will get much use out of it this time either.
That's funny to think of your little boys playing bulldozer with the playpen! Though I'm sure it might not have been hilarious at the time.
I was given a pack n play as a baby gift. It's still in its box in the basement. Right now we don't really need it nor have room for it- I imagine we'll use it when baby is a little older and has outgrown the swing & bouncy seats, or needs a place to be/play safely while I'm elsewhere in the house.
This is what I plan to get. I have no experience yet, being a FTM. But it seems like it would be useful around the house and on the go.
With DS1 we had a changing table, pack n play, bouncy seat, swing and a bassinet all in our living room. There wasn't room to walk. This time around, I really didn't want all those things in one room, especially with DS1 running around, 2 dogs and added furniture, toys, etc from the last 8 years.
There is one down side to the pack n play with the napper/changer. The changer is lower than a changing table, so if you take a long time changing a diaper, your back is going to hurt. Other than that, we love it.
