Toren is teething. Nothing has sprouted through his gums yet, but I can see the swollen tooth buds. 4 of them to be exact. It's only a matter of time before he has some teeny tiny pearly whites. In the mean time he is a little monster. An adorable monster, but a monster nonetheless!!! Teething is no joke!!... I knew it was going to be bad, but I wasn't prepared for the wrath that Toren has laid upon me! Give me back my sweet baby you evil teething troll!

Sorry but I had to laugh at the last line there! We are doing the 1 year molars right now and it is NO FUN! So I am right there with you! I hope poor little Toren gets through it as fast as possible and can get back to being his cute, happy self!
On a side note, I am trying homeopathic remedies for teething and they seem to help some. One is actually a homeopathic (Hyland's brand) remedy for earaches, and that helps; Calm & Restful for kids (Hylands also); and some Lemon Balm tea with a little sugar. It doesn't make it all better, but it takes the edge off. There's always Oragel too. Kody was actually "asking" for it today! I gave him some earlier, which he fought me on, then later he found it in the drawer and handed it to me, then opened his mouth when I went to put it on! I guess he was really hurting, poor guy, because that stuff tastes awful.

I picked up some "homeopathic" orajel type stuff. It didn't help. Or I should say, I didn't notice a difference in his attitude. I will look into the Hylands stuff, thank you!

My MIL keeps suggesting I use whiskey. I know it wouldn't get Toren drunk or anything, but I have no interest in giving him alcohol. If I have to hear my MIL suggest whiskey one more time, I'm liable to crack a bottle of it over her head!

On a side (TMI) note, I think AF isn't far from town. I've been so emotional, ******, angry, and kinda crampy. If it isn't the witch creeping up on me then apparently I'm just a jerk.

Oh poor little Toren (and momma). I can't believe he's teething already! I hope T puts it off longer because we're just seeing improvements with the colic and reflux, I don't want to rock the boat. (Which leads me to a different rant I'll address in another thread). And as for you MIL, maybe just give her some whiskey til she passes out I just got my visit from that stupid aunt of ours today. So far not so bad with any cramps or anything and I've been so emotional lately anyway I can't tell a difference. Hugs to all the little teethers.

Dang, Amy, teething baby and PMS'ing mama? Bad combination! I hope it all passes soon for both of you. While you're picking up teething stuff for Toren, you could grab some Calms or Calms Forte for yourself if you like. Maybe it would help?
Sometimes I wish whiskey were still OK to give!

Jack Daniels. For both of you. You drink it, and you rub it on Toren's gums.

Oh, is that bad of me to say?

Teething stinks. Jackson had no problems at all but Jacob suffered with every tooth. The only thing that helped him was ibuprofen and they can't take it until 6 months.

I hope Toren's teeth come in quickly and he's feeling better soonl

On the upside I can't wait to see pics with his little teeth popping out.
