I'm mostly just hanging out with baby! I'm starting to feel like I have a handle on myself and how to manage. Definitely feeling better physically, after the c section. I can comfortably walk and get around. After our first trip jst me and baby this past week, I'm feeling like I can begin to think about the summery things I wantto do- walks to the farmers market, baby music class. I've also decided not to feel bad if I don't do a lot. My goal is to get out of the house with her every other day. As she gets older I'll see about more. But how many times in my life will I have the excuse to just lounge around?

One big plan- next weekend we are invited to a wedding of one of my coworkers. It's going to be very cool, casual, at a bar with great music. I hope we can make it for at least a little while.

Mel you make me feel like the lazy butt I am We're lucky if we get out of the house a few times a week with baby, but I'm sure summer will change that.
As for what we're up to - well we finally got Truely her crib and tonight will be the fourth night in it. I think she sleeps better in it. Last night she went down at 8 (after fighting a good fight to not sleep as always) and pretty much slept til almost 8:30 this morning. She did wake up 3 times to eat, but each time it was 2 ounces and then right back to sleep. And she actually slept a 7 & 1/2 hour stretch. I actually had to go touch her hand to make sure she was ok, which of course woke her up, sigh.
Doing pretty good, though I'd like to get to work out more. The weather is getting to hot to do much except during certain parts of the day and our pool isn't ready yet because DH hasn't had time to get it done, but hopefully this week.
We're taking daddy for ice cream tomorrow and then to the water park on Friday.

Lol Therese I havent actually done anything exciting yet I'm glad to hear that you're just lounging around too. I always feel this pressure to make the most of the summertime. Esp living in the Midwest where winter is so long and crappy. Will just have to get over it tho. I am TIRED.

I feel like I never get anything done! I hate it, but I'm always waiting for Colt to take a nap so I can run outside to feed chickens, clean chicken coops, clean the turkey hutch, get eggs, stake tomato plants, fence strawberries, dishes, vacuum, cat litter, etc. And I rarely get even one of those things done! I have SO much to do AND I've signed on with a company to work a few hours a week, WHAT was I thinking?

I LOVE being a SAHM, but I feel so useless if I don't get a million things done - which is pretty much every day. I don't know how you ladies do it.

Leia, well right now we're down to 5 adult chickens and 4 baby chicks (which DD1 has in a cage in her room - LOL and she calls them her babies). And half the time they wouldn't get fed if it wasn't for the fact that we let them have run of the fenced yard (4 of them are Cochins) and they eat bugs, grass, and the dogs food! DH is taking full care of the garden this year and we only planted tomatoes and zucchini. And Mel, another reason we haven't been out and about to much is were a little worried about the whooping cough going around really bad here in Cali. Even though we all got vaccinated it still worries me.

I'm working, so nothing too fun...lol!

I do have my NST on July 1, I can't wait! Nervous and excited at the same time

I can't wait for the 4th, we have the 3rd and 4th off and I also took the 7th and 8th off. We are going to go to the beach, which has been tradition. Hoping that DH can go, he interviewed for a different position and it may change his shift.

My house is suffering something awful! I am too exhausted by the time I get home to do much of anything, other than bathe the kids and put them to bed, even their dinner has suffered, they have been eating quick, easy things, but at least they are fed On the weekends, I get one or two things done and start to feel nauseous...I hope this passes soon so that I can get to the things that i wanted to get to before i am too big and miserable to do them!!

Over here we're going through some rough sleeping nights, on account of the first molar coming through. It's been hard on him, poor guy!

Oh poor little guy, I hope that tooth comes out quickly so he can go back to being his happy sleepy self.
And have fun at the beach!
