As of this minute I've had 9 contractions in the last hour. It's 4:45 a.m.and I'm going to call the dr in a little while. I've had more bloody mucus each bathroom trip. My 3 year old is coughing and has a runny nose so now I'm worried I'm going to have the baby today and my daughter won't be able to meet her!!

Talked to dr. I was told to wait until contractions were about 5 mins apart. Bloody mucus good sign things are progressing, etc. It was so early I forgot to ask if I should still wait till contractions are 5 mins apart if I'm having a c-section. I'm waiting till the dr office opens to call back. Contractions are still happening but I haven't been timing them since I talked to the dr.

How are you feeling now? Sounds like you might possibly meet your baby girl before the scheduled date that was set. Very excited for you!! I hope your 3 year old isn't sick and it was just a quick little allergy flair up or something non-contagious like that. Eeeee, KUP!

Ooh exciting! Are you having a repeat C section? I would think you'd want to go in to the hospital ASAP if they were planning to section you. That way they could get you all prepped and gowned and ready for the OR. Good luck, and I hope your DD is not seriously ill!

Waiting for a call back from dr office to see if the rules of waiting still apply to me in case I start getting the real thing before Friday lol. It's my 1st c-section so the nurse thinks I'd still wait. I'm still having contractions but I'm really thinking they are just Braxton hicks, they def aren't strong enough to make me stop walking or talking. Maybe they'll get stronger soon though!

Hey, just because they're not making you stop walking or talking, doesn't mean they're necessarily false labor, could be early labor! Especially with you already having had one before, your body knows what to do! I was dilated to a 5 before I even knew I was in labor. Even then, I only knew because my OB checked me, and it didn't feel like labor until they broke my water to get things moving.
Either way, good luck and KUP!
