My poor little Jackson has been dealing with constipation. I hate it for him. We had this problem last year and his dr said to give him Mira lax which I did and it helped. I took him off the miralax and he has been ok for a long time but this past week he's been having a terrible time. I hate to see him sitting there struggling to go.

I have put him back on the Mira Lax but it doesn't seem to be helping so Monday if it's not better we are going to see the dr. I've stopped all dairy and switched him to almond milk. A friend told me to try fiber gummies so I've done that also. Hoping it will help.

Anybody else have kids that deal with this issue? I hope we can fix his and it's not going to be a long term problem.

I don't, but I hope his gets better. I have heard that pear juice also helps, maybe add that into the mix of other stuff?

Yes my oldest has struggled from time to time. I had to strike the right balance between milk and water for drinks, and added a small cup of juice (apple or grape) every day. And if he was constipated, I withheld milk until he went, and then slowly added it back in. It's a balancing trick for sure. I hope your little guy feels better.

He did ok over the weekend. I also got some smoothie recipes with high fiber and he loves them. I'm just trying to figure something out so we can stop the mira lax. I was just glad that he went over the weekend.
