Hi. My name is Dana. I just found out that i was PG on tuesday. Due date is May 5. It is still so early, and I am so nervous. My first PG ended at 4 months, they couldn't find the heartbeat. That was in June. I am really nervous now. I am finding myself srutinizing every thing I do now. My DH and I were going to go on a trip in Sept, but he doesnt want to anymore (we had taken a trip right after I found out I was PG the first time).
Welcome to the board! Glad you found us. I understand your worry. I'm on pg #3 this year. It's hard but these ladies have been a great support to me and I hope we will be for you, too.[/b]
Thanks Kathryn. It has been a really rough year. My brother was killed (25 yrs old) last summer while stationed in ft lewis in Washington State. He was my best friend and I took it really hard. When I got PG the first time, I finally felt like I had something to look forward to, only to go into a pretty rough depression after I lost the baby at 4 months. It has been a rough year, but I hope my brother is up there watching out for this little one. Thanks again! Looking forward to talking with all of you. Dana
Dana, welcome to the board and welcome to the beginning of 9 months of worry! I hope this pregnancy is uneventful, and I wish you all the comfort in the world after losing your brother- I am so sorry to hear about his death- a loss is never easy, but when its someone you are that close to... I just cant imagine- my heart goes out to you. Lets hope you have gone through your share of trials and there is only happiness to come!

CONGRATS ON YOUR BFP Welcome to the board. I have had 2 misscarriages and when we found out I was pregnant this time around my hubby went super protective on me. He told me to stop exercising on the bike. He was worried that would harm the baby. I wasnt allowed to lift anything heavy and he put a no sex ban in place. I thought he was being a little too over protective but it is his baby to and he just wanted to keep me safe and the baby safe. I think when a women has had a loss they like to be on the safe side.

Dido! In the first trimester of this pg, I basically didn't exercise and if I did I wore a heart monitor, had sex maybe twice, refused to fly anywhere or even drive very far. I just wanted the baby safe. Now, I feel a bit more outgoing but it took a long time.
I haven't seen the Dr yet, I am scheduled to go in 2 weeks. Should I stop exercising. I am normally a pretty active person, normally run 3-4 miles a day. When I was PG the first time, I walked very fast - maybe I shouldnt do that this time?

I don't think we meant to give you the impression that exercise is bad. Exercising in moderation is fine. You should be able to carry on a conversation as you exercise or keep your heartrate under 140. Just don't exercise in hot weather and drink lots of water.
I am back to exercising now although now there is not much I can do other then walk and swim
Hi & welcome!! I am sorry that you lost a little one... and understand your worries now. Congratulations on your pregnancy tho!! Very exciting to be expecting!!
You don't have to give up exercising... some women even run in pregnancy! It just depends on how you are feeling & how comfortable you are w/ it.[/b]
Thanks! I have been having a little lower back pain -- so I am a little nervous about that. They checked my HCG levels on friday and they looked good, but I'm waiting to see how yesterdays were. Thanks again!!
Hi and welcome. I've had 2 losses this year, so I completely understand your fear. Just hang in there and hope for the best. As far as exercise goes, I would ask you doctor - I'm a very active person (typically work out pretty hard 5-6 days a week), and b/c of my history, with this pregnancy, my doctor said only light exercise and no sex until we know if the pregnancy is going to stick. So I would ask your doctor - your doctor may be totally ok with it based on your body. Good luck and welcome!!!
Our C-section is scheduled for Feb 16th! Then we'll know whether Baby Bennett is a BOY or a GIRL!!!
Congrats and welcome. Trust me when I say the worry never stops, but the end result will be worth it. I am so sorry about the loss of your brother, I trully hope this pregnancy is a healthy and happy one.
