My DR did it this Am and I am hoping it is the little nudge to push me into labor. DH has today and tommorow off so it would be perfect! I have had a little spotting and lots of cramping!!

Congrats honey! That's so exciting. Best of luck to you for a quick and easy labor (and a beautiful baby boy to bring home).

I guess my cervix is really posterior so she said it was a little more uncomfortable but even though it seemed like forever that she was doing it, I think maybe only 5 minutes. She said she was really trying to get things going. I could feel it pulling to the side a bit and then cramping, but if it gets Achilles out it works for me

I wish, I was at urgent care but for my daughter! She had a bunch of internal eye styes and I guess rubbing them she scratched her eye so we had to visit the DR.
I have had on and off contractions all day and a lot of bloody mucous. Steph did you have a lot of dark tinged mucous after, is it routine with being stripped? Its not spotting but mucous, am hoping its a good sign.

Yeah I am sure its my plug, but I am curious when others had it done if they stopped cramping/spotting and still went into labor or if that means its not working.

I bet just when you get the whole house settled down and into bed, you are going to have to get back up and go to the hospital I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Sorry I got to this post late, but yes, I had red-tinged mucas all day. My membranes were stripped at about 4:30, and they sent me home wearing a pantyliner. I dont think I needed to change the pantyliner (I cant believe I have forgotten that detail already!) but I do know I went to the bathroom a lot to see if there was any change and everytime I wiped, I had blood on the toilet paper. I kept contracting all day, but nothing regular. Sometimes they were every couple minutes apart, other times I would go a half hour with maybe one. That night around 8 pm, so approx 4 hours or so after I was stripped, the blood increased significantly when I went to the bathroom- still not like af, but definately heavier. Knowing I was 6cm already that afternoon, I figured they wouldnt send me home if I went to the hospital and I decided I wanted it to end, so at midnight, I told Rob we were heading to the hospital.

WHAT THE HECK IS UP WITH YOUR BABY! My dr told me that once she stripped my membranes I would go into labor that night or the next day- and I did. Leah was born 12 hours and 1 minute after my appointment! I think your baby is super stubborn and you need to be prepared for a baby with an attitude!!!
