So I am 35 weeks now had my appointment, this is my second prettyfull term pregnancy.

The Dr. said I was 1cm dialated and 20% effaced? I am quite anxious. I know it is hard to determine but you think I will go early?

Unfortunately you can't tell by that... I walked around at 4cm for a month w/ DD and she was born 2 days late. in fact, I was dialated to 3 & 60-80% effaced w/ each of my pregnancies for weeks before baby came.

I'm no help either. My water broke 3 weeks early. When I got to the hospital, the nurse said she'd be "generous" and give me 1cm. Spent the whole day dilating and effacing, with a boost from pitocin.

This is your second full-term pregancy? My Dr. said that if someone has had a child before, than the cervix is more likely to be slightly dialated, because it's been stretched out. One of the nurses said that by her third child, she was at a permanent 2 cm.

*shrugs* 35 weeks is a bit early yet. Hang on just a few weeks longer!

I was 4cm forever! After 35 weeks I dialted 1 cm every week until I was 6 cm at 37 weeks and they stripped my membranes.
