Unfortunately you can't tell by that... I walked around at 4cm for a month w/ DD and she was born 2 days late. in fact, I was dialated to 3 & 60-80% effaced w/ each of my pregnancies for weeks before baby came.
This is your second full-term pregancy? My Dr. said that if someone has had a child before, than the cervix is more likely to be slightly dialated, because it's been stretched out. One of the nurses said that by her third child, she was at a permanent 2 cm.
*shrugs* 35 weeks is a bit early yet. Hang on just a few weeks longer!
