Hi Ladies - quick question for you. Have any of you rented/bought at home dopplers before? How soon can you hear anything? (I've heard anywhere from 9-12 weeks, but wanted to see if anyone actually had experience with them.)

Where did you rent/purchase from? Would you recommend the company again?

Thanks!

Amy

I got a doppler at 10 weeks and just returned it a week ago (I can feel the baby move a lot now). I got it from a company here in Canada so it probably won't be much help to you. My Dr. found the heart beat at my 12 week appointment but I couldn't hear it with the doppler until 13 weeks (but I have an anterior placenta). After 13 weeks, I never had any problems finding the heartbeat and loved having the doppler for peace of mind.

I rented a doppler from babybeat.com. Well worth the $30/month. Speaking of which, I should probably send that back now!!! The little bugger is moving around like crazy in there!!!

I also got mine from Babybeat and it was the best thing I've done this pregnancy because it has given me such peace of mind!!! I first heard the hb at about 12 weeks and I used it all the time until I started to feel him move - even now I won't send it back because I know I'll have a day of panic and wish I had it to so I'm going to hold on to it but well worth it!!!
