I am not pregnant.....YET! I have just recently( 2 weeks and 1 day ago) had a son that died a hour later and was only 23 weeks gestatoin.

My question to you is how long did it take to get pregnant again and also when did you start trying after your loss?

Needless to say I am anxious~

I am so sorry for your loss. I can't even begin to imagine what you are going through.

I miscarried at 10 weeks so my situation was quite different from yours. I was able to start trying 2 cycles after the mc and conceived about 6 months after the mc. Other ladies here who have experienced stillbirth will probably be able to give you better idea but maybe you should discuss TTC with your doctor.

Good luck getting pg again. I hope it happens soon for you!

I also wanted to add that JustMommies aslo has a pregnancy loss board and a seperate stillbirth board. You might want to check those out. The ladies there are very supportive.

I am really sorry for your loss!!!!! I can't even imagine what that must have been like being so far along. My situation was different... I was only 8 weeks along... but after two D&Cs (yes, two... long story), I waited for AF (2 months later!!!) and we conceived on our first try.

I know a girl at work who lost a baby last Sept. at like 27 weeks... she's pregnant again and due in early November, so I'm assuming she didn't try too long. I hear you're pretty darn fertile after being pregnant once. When the time is right and doc says you're good to go, I bet it won't take you long...

Sorry again for your terribly loss!!!

My baby was stillborn fullterm. My doctor told me to wait 3 months before ttc again. We waited four. Last cycle was my first cycle off bcp and it was an unsuccessful try. I'm about a week away from O, and I'm SO hoping it works. After going through an entire pregnancy and leaving that hospital emptyhanded, I'm really anxious to get on with it again. *Sigh*

I'm so sorry for your loss, I know how it feels. You will survive this. Hold on to those memories you have of that hour you got to spend with him!

Im so sorry for you loss. Alex was stillborn at 21 weeks. I was told to wait 3 cycles before trying again for emotional and physical reasons. I had started my BC but obviously a greater power than pills where involved cause I was pg 3 weeks after Alex went to Heaven.

If you have other children you may want to consider them to. My 4 year old was very excited about Alex and was devistated when he passed. Now she tells me she is not happy cause its not the right baby in my tummy and she is scared to get exicted about it.

I am so sorry for you loss, how heartbreaking. I had two miscarriages before my son's were born after the first I didn't try for 9 months. It was hard on me. The second I got pregnant a month later. I just had the 3rd one this May so I waited for 2 normal periods & now we are expecting in May, fingers crossed. ((((BIG HUGS))))

I am so sorry for your loss. I have misscarried twice.

I misscarried at 7wks 3days (august 2002) I got pregnant again in January 2003 so it took 5 months to get pregnant again. We tried almost straight away we just didnt use any protection and hoped to get pregnant.

2nd misscarriage I was 7 wks 6 days pregnant and misscarried in August 2005 once again we didnt use protection and eventually the last month before I got pregnant we tried the temping with fertility friend. I conceived in April 2006. It took us 7 and a half months to get pregnant this time around.
