I had a doctor's appointment I was having some problems with dizziness. Basically all they did was confirm that I was pregnant and told me that my symptoms were normal. I could have told myself that. Doc said that they treat a pregnancy after a miscarriage the same as a normal one. So I won't be seeing my baby until 18 weeks+. I guess I could just use a little piece of mind. I go back in 2 weeks when I see my own doctor I may see if she will send me for a little earlier one.

yeah I would make sure you talk with your doctor. I am 18 weeks pregnant ( I had 3 miscarriages last year ) and by all means they did not treat me the same as a normal pregnancy. I had many test done at the begining, put on extra hormone medicine and had my 1st ultrasound done at 6 weeks, so maybe your doctor who knows you a little better will take more care of you. Good luck with everything

I get so frustrated when doctors are patronizing. They just don't seem to understand the worry that we go through after we've had a loss. I hope your regular doc can help you get an earlier peek at baby.

Stupid doctors! After we lost Cora, at my 6wk post partum checkup, my dr. said my next pregnancy they will act as if I am high-risk (all the monitoring and stuff) just for my peace of mind. I hope your regular dr. can give you more peace of mind!!

AAH, YEA... I agree with everyone here, what a numb nut Dr. I hope your Dr. has more feeling than this one you saw. If not, consider another Dr. that has some empathy and compassion.
My Dr. will be monitoring me more closely too, just for my and his peace of mind.
