My friend found out a few months ago she has either uterus or ovarian cancer (I cant remember which one). She has had surgery and had all the cancerous tissue removed. The Dr told her if she wants another baby she needs to TRY NOW and not wait any more cause it could come back and they will have to do a hysterctomy. Thing is she doesnt know anything about planning this and i dont either, it just happened. They havent been preventing for at least a year. Any advice on when to "try" would be greatly appreciated. They really want a baby together.
I suggested after find out when to try if it doesnt happen for a while maybe talking to her DR for help with meds since they are rushing her.
well charting is a really good way to tell when shes Oing.but if she has clockwork cycles then she may just be able to pick out the middle and BD like crazy.another good thing is clear blue easy ovulation test kit.you get i think 7 strips and it tells you what day to start testing on when she gets a good test line she Oing..HTH and tell her i said good luck
Tell her to buy "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" - easily the greatest book on fertility out there. It explains charting in great detail and really increases your odds of actually conceiving. Every one of my friends who has wanted to (except for one, whose as it turns out, husband was on some weird medication causing a low sperm count) has gotten pregnant pretty quickly using this book. What can I say? We started trying in January, and then got pregnant in April - and 2 out of the 3 cycles thereafter! It is an awesome book - combine it with an OPK to help make sure she's on track and she'll be all set!
Our C-section is scheduled for Feb 16th! Then we'll know whether Baby Bennett is a BOY or a GIRL!!!
