did anyone take it while ttc? what is it exactly? just a low dose of regular aspirin? i did some reading and read that it can help implantation but when do you know when to stop it? Is it harmful at all? After my last miscarriage and i was reading things, i thought it was due to clotting issues but now im drawing a blank as to what my high risk dr. said. i know for sure he said to take folic acid but he didnt mention the aspirin? i dont want to miscarry again and if the baby aspirin can help prevent that, then i want i to take it..but if i get pregnant and then they tell me to stop it..can it cause harm?

Lots of good questions, I'm sorry I don't have any answers. You might call your high risk doc and ask if that's something you should take.

My OB put me on a baby aspirin after my second m/c - my tests all came back fine showing no clotting problems but he said it was an easy precaution that alot of women take after m/c's. I didnt start taking it though until I got my BFP - and when we got pregnant again i was taking it and still had a m/c (not to scare you!!!) so I don't know. Granted I took it again this time, I attribute more of it to the progesterone I was on this time (of course no one really knows) but just my opinion but I never took it while TTC. One thing I can tell you is when I was on it if I cut myself shaving stopping the bleeding was very hard because its meant to thin your blood out - hope that helps some!!!

I'm taking it now. It is a low dose of regular aspiri, the same same dosage that heart patients and arthritis patients take. I started taking it right around conception, although my doc said I didn't ned to take it until I got a bfp. I had an initial clotting test come bak abnormal, and then a repeat came back normal, so mostly I take it now for peace of mind - it won't harm the baby, and it makes me feel like I'm doing something to help. I do know that you are supposed to stop taking it a month or so before delivery because it is a blood thinner. I still have to ask my doc when I should stop.
Overall, I would recommend taking it unless you hear otherwise. It has made me feel better.

I took after I found out I was PG again and took it till I was 22 weeks and my US show a healthy baby. So if you are taking it while trying to conceive it will not hurt you once you get PG. My DR recommends baby aspirin.
