I think I remember doing this with my other two pregnancies as well, but I am kind of paranoid. I am having period like cramps this morning. It feels just like the first day of my period with pressure, frequent peeing, and cramps. Is this normal?? Today is the day I am suppose to start my period, but I got a + test 2 days ago. I called my doctor immediately and she put me on progesterone and baby aspirin. I read that cramps are a side effect of the progesterone so could that be what is causing it?? I guess my biggest fear is an ectopic pregnancy, but I don't think the cramping is bad enough and I am not having bleeding or anything. Plus, doesn't it take a while to get a positive test when it is ectopic because it isn't in the right place?? I took some Tylenol, but it isn't really helping. Should I be concerned??

it is very much normal to have AF like cramping during the first trimester of your pregnancy. I experienced AF cramping from about 7DPO through until I was around 9 weeks pregnant.

The main things to look out for are:
- the cramping being excruciating
- bleeding as well as cramping
- intense pain on one side

I agree. I had af type cramping as well. I know it doens't make you feel very good though.

hang in there - if the cramps are too extreme & there is no bleeding - it is probably just normal (((hugs)))),

Thanks so much y'all. The cramping stopped and I never had any bleeding, so I think I am ok

I received cramping all throughout my first trimester, I still get it alittle bit now but not as much. At first she though it was maybe a bladder infection because she said that that will sometimes cause cramping, but it was just normal for me I guess.
