Hi ladies - just had a D&C done last Wednesday after my 2nd m/c -- I'm devestated and trying to move on with things before I have a complete breakdown. I'm going to see my dr in 2 weeks to start having blood tests and whatever else tested. He says that the hard part is conceiving which we've done twice - its after that that there are problems. For those of you that have gone through consecutive m/c's -- have you gotten tested?? What do they do and look for?? Did they find anything?? Just need some advice on what to expect. Thanks ladies!!!

I am so sorry that you are going through this. I wish I could help more but I did have testing after my m/c. I have only had one but it was at 17 weeks so my dr did genetic tests and could not find any cause for my m/c. It did make me nervous to try again because I did not know what had went wrong. With this pg being so far along now I can only guess that my angel just wasnt meant to be with me. Good luck with your appts and keep us updated.

I have had three miscarriages. I did have testing done but they never really found a cause for it. They did end up treating me with progesterone just as a sort of last resort and I am now pregnant with my fourth baby. My first son was born after having three consecutive miscarriages and I was one of those women who just thought that I just wasn't going to get to have kids. Now look at me. I try to share my experience to give others some good news and reassurance.
Well I had the whole 9 yards with testing. At least it felt like it. I had three m/cs in a row and one of the babies did have a h/b. My dr was great. He ordered blood work, a HSG dye test in your uterus, and a endometrial biopsy. The bloodwork found our problem. We have a condition called APAS (somehting, something syndrome. I have to take baby aspirin and heparin everyday. It so worht getting tested it may something easily controllable. Good Luck!! BTW, I have a beautiful daughter who is 2 and one on the way!! I am still a nervous wreck about being pg. That is what a m/c can do to you.
