so I went to my doc appt. there was some good and some bad....

good~ my contractions have pretty much stopped and my cervix is closed!!!! I also passed my glucose test.

bad~ My bp was 132/100 not good at all. She is worried I have the start of preclapsia and having hypertension already puts me at a higher risk. So she sent me to go get lab work...I hate needles!!!! They took so much blood but then I got dizzy so I have to go back tomorrow to get more drawn. I also have to collect my pee for 24 hour...how fun is that

So she said there is pretty much no way I am going to make it to my due date. We are going to do everything to keep the baby in there until 36 weeks, but if we have to delivery early, I need to be prepaired for that. She said we will do everything to make sure the baby stays cooking as long as possible.

so yeah i dunno...just kidda worried and a wee bit scared now.

so depending on how my lab works comes out, we will see where to go from then. I have an ultra sound in 2 weeks to check the babies size again cuase he was small last time. I also didn't gain any weight...but I feel like I have. I just don't get this anymore.

I'm sorry that things aren't going exactly like you want them to. But, I am glad to see that your Dr. is on top of things. Keep cooking little one!

I hope things settle down with re to your blood pressure, and that it was just a one off.

Oh sweets, I'm so sorry! I hope that your bp calms down, and you don't have to deliver early. How scary!

Blood pressure issues can be scary, but it sounds like your doc is on top of it. A friend of mine has major blood pressure issues when pregnant and delivered at 30w, 37w, and 35w. All kiddos are healthy and thriving. Hopefully your little one will stay put as long as possible and they'll be able to control your BP.

thanks girls!

I am already on BP meds due to the fact I have hypertension...I have always had it, so they are extra worried about me now that my meds don't seem to be working anymore. I hope it was just a fluke and it goes back down. We will see what they say tomorrow after the lab work.
