Is it possible for your HCG numbers to be right on and be a little over double in 24 hours and still m/c?

My numbers seem good, they went from 2,500 on Thurs to 5,800 on Sat! But the spotting is continuing!! I'm freaking, I can't go to work cause I'm so consumed with this, and I don't see the OB until Tuesday! Also I have been having some cramping, but I can't tell if it's the normal kind of cramping I have had with the previous 3 or if I am imagining it to be different!

Thanks for your help!

jen those are awesome numbers..it took me over a week to get to 6,000..your cervix could be sore or you could have an uti or anything to cause the spotting..try to relax, those numbers are great..usually when someone is m/c their numbers dont double

I GUESS it could still be possible, but it is a GREAT sign that the numbers are increasing as they are meant to. I know quite a few women who've had spotting (even heavy bleeding) during their pregnancy & have gone on to have healthy babies at the end

I haven't personally heard of anyone havin a m/c while their numbers were doubling. And spotting is incredibly common in early pregnancy.

I'll be keeping you and your little one in my prayers - hopefully the spotting will stop soon. Let us know how things go on Tuesday!!

Anything is possible, but I wanted to tell you again, cuz I think I said this already, that I had bleeding with Angelina from 6-11 weeks and she was fine. Sometimes these things just happen. Those numbers are awesome. I bet mine aren't even close to that. Hang in there.

Thank you to all of you for taking the time to respond!!

I have been so scared for the last three days! Absolutely going crazy!! The spotting happened once on Thursday morning. Twice Thursday night again on Friday night and Saturday morning. It is only when I wipe, I have spotted onto my panties or a pad!

I begged the lab to give me my numbers this morning over the phone, they usually make you come down to the hospital, but I guess I sounded desperate enough! I was overwelmed with good feelings when they gave me that number, but still worried!

I am praying for good news when I get my vaginal ultrasound done on Tuesday morning! Thoughts and prayers would be so much appreciated! Thanks ladies, and I am hoping to be one of those cases where I too can post to others that I spotted in early pregnancy and ended up with a healthy baby 9 months later!
