Hi everyone!
I posted for the first time last week and just wanted to give an update to all you great ladies

I had posted about bad cramps I was having with Prometrium and could have sworn I was miscarrying. The cramps had me in the fetal position in bed in so much pain on Wednesday night. I'm seeing my Reproductive Endocrinologist and he has been momitoring my levels every other day since Monday last week. So far .. so good!! They are doubling as they should (my HCG was 1454 on Friday and progesterone at 26 - I was 4 weeks, 4 days on Friday) and the cramps have gone away, I never had any bleeding. My doc said some women have the abdominal cramping pretty bad as a side effect of the progesterone and as long as I wasn't bleeding (which I never was).

So, I'm still not getting my hopes up because of my past three losses, but everything is going good so far. I have my first u/s on Tuesday. What will they even be able to see? I will ony be 5 weeks 1 day on Tuesday.

I'll keep everyone updated

Congratulations!

As far as what you'll be able to see: probably just a gestational sac. Maybe a fetal pole. Good luck honey! Are they going to do another u/s after Tuesday too?

Yes, I believe they will still be taking my blood every other day and then an u/s every week up until 10 weeks, but I'm not positive. Once I get to 10 weeks my RE releases me to my regular OB. I can't wait for that day because that means everything will have been going fine!

I had some cramping with the progesterone suppositories, too. Hope your u/s goes well and that you'll get good news. At 5w1d you should be able to see the gestational sac, the yolk sac and possibly a fetal pole. No heartbeat until after 6w.
