so a few girls in my ddc have recently lost their babies and they were a good week ahead of me and now it has me freaked out. I borrowed a doppler from a friend and all i pick up is a slow beat so its either mine or the baby is in trouble. I havent bled once and i do have the occasional cramp which i believe to be liagment pains but who really knows My symptoms havent been much at all this pregnancy..sore and swollen boobs, waves of nausea which has subsided a ton and mainly comes on empty stomach or at night time, im tired often but have days where im fine and thats really it..im real scared there is a reason im not picking up a fast beat because there isnt one there. I hate this.

((Hugs)) that was my biggest fear once i passed about 7w.... it is hard to pick up a h/b with a home doppler before 12-14 weeks hun, so that is quite possibly why you haven't been able to find the h/b? Maybe you could ring your ob & go in for a quick check????? The stress isn't good for your or for bubby.....

I'm sure everything will be okay hun, but I do understand how upsetting it is, when women in your DDC find out they've lost their baby.......

let us know if you get to see your ob or someone ?

I think that everyone goes through that fear especially after seeing others go through it that you wouldn't expect it to happen to. My loss was at 37 weeks so I fear that I will be a basket case the further along that I get. But, I also have a fear that something will go wrong early on and we won't even know. All we can do is have faith that everything will go well and enjoy our pregnancies for whatever length of time that it is meant to be.

(((hugs))) It's stressful but don't panic just yet. I hardly had any symptoms and still hardly have any. As for the heart beat...I'm "fluffy" and found that I needed a full bladder to hear the heartbeat. Without the full bladder I heard nothing but my blood flow, and the placenta (which sounds like trees in a forest).

There's so many fears in pg, and all we can do is take a deep breath and take each day as it comes. We're hear for you hun.

My doc couldn't even find the heart beat on the doppler at 10 weeks...so try not to worry to much...he only found it on an ultrasound.

thanks everyone..i got my few waves of nausea tonight so that satisfied me and apparantly lots of ladies in my ddc are starting to feel good going into the 2nd trimester..is it possible to hear our heartbeats in more than one place? i found it on the left and right side..i do my pulse and it matches both but i swore the one time it was 114 bpm so thats either fast for me or extremely slow..unless its echoes and stuff bouncing that im picking up too

Yep...you can hear your heart beat on either side, and things can definately echo. Last week it really had me confused.

well i borrowed the doppler from a friend and she told me she tried finding the heartbeat from 8 weeks on and didnt pick it up until around 13 weeks with it so maybe its the doppler. im STILL waiting on the ob to call me back since yesterday though, i want to see if i can have another u/s before 20 weeks.

also i was real sick lastnight, nausea was awful, felt like i was on a boat! so i guess my symptoms havent died off yet

I'm sorry that you're so scared sweets. I don't blame you, I really don't. It's only normal after a loss to expect another. I'll be hoping and praying for you though!

I bet it is her doppler then!! I know some dopplers aren't as good as others. I am sure all is fine with your little bean!

My midwife didnt pick up Hamish's heartbeat with the doppler till after 12 weeks. Try not to worry but I do know how you feel when I was in my DDC we had a few ladies who misscarried and it was heartbreaking and made a few of us scared.

I know this post is a little late, but I just wanted to say that I had a missed miscarriage before this last pregnancy so I was so scared during those early weeks because I basically had no symptoms. Everything was fine though. As for the doppler thing, my doctor wouldn't even try to get a heartbeat before 14 weeks. I almost got a doppler when I was pregnant, but I knew that it would make me even more nervous than I already was. I 've been where you are, that's why I'm not going to say "Dont worry". I'll just say try not to worry so much, one day at a time.

It took my doctor awhile to get Aaron's heartbeat. I believe I was 13 weeks at that point. You are probally picking up your heartbeat because I remember that happening to me. Believe me I was worried too and I still am that something will happen but worrying and that isn't going to help anything. Just enjoy your pregnancy because time will fly by. Big hugs for you, and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers so that everything is good and that you have a happy and healthy 9 months.
