i was just wondering what everyone's babies heartrates have been? at my ultra sound at 10 weeks the hb was 183 and at yesterdays ultra sound it was 149..i know its in normal range but is it okay to drop that much in 2 weeks? the tech said it usually drops to between 120-160 in the 2nd trimester but im just curious. last week when i picked it up with my doppler for the first time it was 170, im afraid each week its gonna gt lower or something

One our first ultrasound Aaron's heart beat was 174bpm, then now it ranges from 120-165. It is completely normal to have the heart rate go up and down. They say they dont like it when the heart rate stays around the same rate all the time. It has to jump up and down. Like today I had the nurse come in because I went into preterm labor on saturday, so now I have a nurse come everyday to check on things. Aaron's heart rate was between 134-150 but they need it to jump around to show that he is active. So don't worry, but I know its hard not too.

Wow, Nicole, now you've got me worried! Rielle's heart rate has always been 145-149. My Dr said that she's got one of the steadiest heart rates he's ever seen. Is that a problem?

It all has to do with how active the baby is ~ sleeping will result in a lower HB whereas moving/grooving will result in a faster HB.

All of my pregnancies (even my m/c) the HB's were between 120-180, no worries

DS#1's heart rate was very consistently in the 150's. I honestly have no idea what this one's rate is...doc never mentions it. Just checks it and gives me a quick listen.

8 weeks it was 155
12 weeks it was 158

Ironically, all of my appointments have been at the exact same time of day.

At 6w the h/b was at 129. Since then, it has consistently been in the 140's.

At my 8 week u/s the heartbeat was 170-180, I don't remember specifically. The times I got to hear it on doppler they didn't say what it was, just that it was fast. With Liam his were always 160-170 but I always had an appointment after I had eaten so he was always moving like crazy.

With my son his was always around 180's. But he has a brain disorder so I am not sure if that is why it was so high all the time or not.

This babies has been around the 155-160's most the time. I have seen it in the 170's with the doppler I think that is when the baby is very active.

With my u/s at 7 weeks my OB didn't tell me the hb rate and I didn't ask.
