im going to throw 2 questions in here ..im lazy i suppose
anyhow..up until what point in the pregnancy is it safe to sleep on your belly? Its the only way im able to sleep lately. I have read its fine until it hurts..is there any truth to that?
also, when did everyone begin to show? Every once in awhile i think my belly is showing but then i wake up the next morning and im not..it must of just from being bloated Remember, im not starting off FLAT here lol
Danielle, I'm a tummy sleeper too! I see that you are 14 weeks so I would say that in the next few weeks you will start noticing it becoming more uncomfortable to be on your stomach. I think that I made it to closer to 20 weeks before I started showing and had to go more to my side with my leg out to the side to make room for the growing tummy. I am also on the larger side but don't worry, you will start to show soon and then you will be wishing you weren't so big!!!
I still wake up on my tummy. lol. Sleeping on my tummy when I'm not pregnant really hurts my lower back, so it's actually more comfortable for me when I'm pregnant. Weird, I know. Sometimes I'll wake up on my tummy because Rielle is kicking really hard, but it hasn't actually hurt or been uncomfortable yet...
As for showing...It's only been in the last couple of weeks that people at work have noticed that I'm pregnant without me saying something first and when I tell them I'm due in June they always respond with "You do not look that pregnant!" I feel huge though.
I haven't been able to sleep on my stomach for a few weeks now. It hurts my back and I feel my uterus (kinda like a rock in my stomach). I used to be a back sleeper, but would sleep on my stomach if I had trouble falling asleep. Now I'm happy if I can find any position to sleep in that's comfy!
As for showing...I'm a little extra "fluffy" too, but I've been visibly showing since 14 weeks and people have been coming up to me at church and commenting on my "blooming belly". It so true...it really varies for each person. I blame my early showing on my 2 fibriods that are making for a larger than average uterus for 17 weeks!
