Well...today was the day that I had my 20wk u/s. It was 45 min and they were looking for Trisomy 13 soft markers. I'm thrilled to say that our baby is as perfect as can be with absolutely no soft markers and things are looking great! Baby is still a surprise and so we wait 4 more months to find out if it's a boy or girl. The heartbeat was a nice strong 152.
I did find out that I have a low lying placenta and will have another u/s in June to see if it's moved up. If not then I'll be having a C-section, but as long as I have a healthy baby that's all I care about.
Whew...what a relief. I'm so excited that things are looking great. Now I can relax a bit and we're going to register this weekend!
Oh, I'm so glad! That much be so much of a relief! I remember how relieved I was when the tech told me my baby was absolutely perfect, but yours must be so much more (I really had no actual reason to be worried). Congratulations honey!
And I'm totally impressed that you were able to wait to see the gender. lol. Good for you.
