Vickey, my heart breaks for you and the pain you must be experiencing. My youngest had a series of medical tests done when she was about 9 months old due to "failure to thrive" and I know the hardest thing I have had to live through was seeing her scared and in pain, so I know how you must be feeling!!
He sounds like he is doing really well and making good progress. I know he will be just fine. My doc always suggested when you can to but baby in direct sunlight (like near a window) with only a diaper on. It does help with the jaundice and they seem so calm and happy. Maybe try it as he needs less of the treatments at home with the photo therapy and such. It definitely can't hurt!!!
Stay strong, get rest and hold your baby as much as you can!!! You are doing a wonderful job mom!!!
My mother had to do that with my older brother. He had to have a blood transfusion his levels were so high when he went back into the hospital. And I was so jaundiced I had to stay 4 days after she was discharged!
I'm glad you're back home though (as per your update). I hope he's doing okay and eating better!
