I just talked to the nurse from my dr.s office....My PAP smear came back with some abnormal cells.....so when I go for my next appt. the dr. will be doing some kind of scope something or other test that will show the cells better......they wont do any type of biopsy or anything invasive while I am pregnant though....but still....it's just always something...

this happened to me too when i was pregnant with Delaney! i actually chose not to let them do any further testing while i was pregnant and discussed it with a different dr. he told me that a lot of times, if you have never had trouble with it before, the pregnancy is what causes the abnormal cells and when you give birth the problem corrects its self and they shed when you have the baby. which is exactly what happened.... after she was born my pap came back completely normal. don't stress! i am sure everything will be just fine!! ((((HUGS))))

This also happened during my first pregnancy, and once I had her, everything went back to normal, and all of my PAPs came back normal during this pregnancy as well! Keep us posted Dee!

any vaginal infection including vaginitis will give you a bad pap. Glad they are not doing anything invassive. Why take chances.

This is the very reason why my OB won't do a pap smear usually during pregnancy. He told me that it can come back abnormal because of the pregnancy.

I got an abnormal Pap and colpo on my 1st pregnancy also. It showed a high grade lesion. My NEW doctor (who I started seeing with this pregnancy) said it may correct itself after the delivery so she didn't even bother redoing the Pap and didn't seem too concerned about it anyway. I'm glad you posted this Dee!
