... I am a Jingle Bells type girl myself..... I am not religious, so Christmas doesn't hold any significant religious meaning to me, and I think because of that I prefer the Christmas Carols that aren't directly about the religious aspect of Christmas (which I understand IS a large part of it!).... (I hope what i've said doesn't offend anyone! if so, i'm so sorry!)
I really liked one of Mariah Carey's songs she has on her Christmas album, I can't think of the name of it!
I really like the traditional Christmas songs....hymns. Oh Holy Night, Oh Come Oh Come Emmanuel, What Child is This. I also like Mary Did You Know and While You Were Sleeping (although, that's not explicitly a Christmas song). I also love this little folk song that is on one of my daughter's cd's. I don't know what it's called off the top of my head, but it goes through all the animals that may have been around the manger and you get to hear what they have to say. It's really cute. I love Christmas music. I was already listening to it today while I was doing the dishes and cooking dinner.
