Hi ladies as you all know i have been on bedrest since sept. but heres the deal since yesturday afternoo i have this urge to do everything i can like i need to get everything done NOW! i cleaned the bathroom, put up the christmas tree lights last night, and then this morning, i had to make the bed, clear off the dresser, take out to loads of trash, put the boxes of files into the file cainet, and do some general clean this room up stuff. eeek! yes i have been a busy busy girl this morning.... but i think i'm nesting.... yikes! my mom says that you only do that a few hours to a couple weeks before baby comes.... and im just wondering if this is true for you? did you nest before you had labor and baby? if so for how long? thanks so much.

This may not be much help but I don't think I nested AT ALL. Chris nested WAY more than I did. Goes to show how lazy I really am.

i nested at least two, maybe even 3 months before the girls were born. so, try not to worry too much... you could still have a while to go. and take it easy girl, don't do too much!!

I didn't nest at all maybe that's why Gaby refused to come by herself? j/k

My sister nested for her ENTIRE pregnancy, so I don't think nesting is really an indicator of labour approaching..

With Cora it hit really hard at the end of my second trimester, and then tapered off. I never really started nesting with Erin.

I never went into labor since I had a c-section and I did a lot of nesting.

I started nesting around 30 weeks and really went nuts around 37 weeks. I had organized every closet & cupboard, the pantry, washed all the linens and towels, sorted through clothes and donated a bunch of things, and even managed to make a few meals in advance and freeze them. Nesting isn't really any indication of a timeline, but it sure is nice to have those things done before baby because once baby comes it'll be weeks before you have the energy or desire to do anything house related! Makenna is 3 months and I'm just now back to cookng from scratch and keeping a clean house.

I dont think it's an indication of labor, BUT I did find myself on my hands and knees scrubing out the fridge at 1 in the morning at about 36 weeks along, lol. Nesting is good though, because after the baby gets there, you won't wanna do anything!!

No, I don't really think it's an indication of labor either. I've been nesting for about a good month now and my baby is showing no signs of coming early. Her head isn't even engaged yet. I know what you mean about that drive to get everything done, though, I sure do have it too!
