Yeah, it was definitely both for me, too. I would get really excited, until I was in the waiting room, or sitting in the exam room, waiting for the Dr/tech to see me. Those moments were horrible.

BOTH! It's always so hard because I love b/c I get to see baby but I hate them b/c I am so afraid I will see something wrong.

I would have to say mostly just excited. I've never had a bad experience with an ultrasound, though and I've never had one before 18 weeks, either. I'm sure it would have been different had I had to have one earlier. That almost happened, actually, at my first appointment with this baby. I was 11 weeks along and my doctor couldn't find the baby's heartbeat for a little while. He told me that if they didn't find it within a couple of minutes, he was sending me down the hall for an ultrasound because at this point, they should be able to find it. That really was scary!

I used to get REALLLLLLY worried, but also REALLLLLLLLY excited!

Will never forget the way I felt before my first u/s (with Gaby).... and the utter relief & joy I felt when I saw my baby girl wiggling around & very much alive!

.. nice comparison to the first u/s I ever had, which was to confirm my m/c in 2005
